If a man does his best, what else is there?
— General George S. Patton

Waltham Track Club is a non-profit organization in Waltham, Massachusetts, which offers instruction and competition in track and field, cross country, road racing, race walking, and marathon running to participants of all abilities from in and around the Waltham area. You do not have to be a Waltham resident to become a member.

WTC has no tryouts or talent requirements; all are welcome, even beginners. The club’s philosophy, described in detail in our Philosophy, Policies, and Procedures Guide, emphasizes individual achievement rather than winning, and all members, regardless of their skill, are encouraged to be the best that they can be.

WTC currently offers an open/masters program for females ages 15 and older, conducted year-round, a high school program, and three programs for youth, open to boys and girls ages 8-14: outdoor track and field from April through July, indoor track and field from December through February, and cross country in the fall. More information about these programs may be found here.

The WTC Board of Directors has developed a guide which describes our club’s philosophy, policies, expectations, and conflict resolution policy. All parents, whether new or veteran, should read this guide completely and contact a board member with any questions or concerns.
